Package

  • 3 Year contract (renewable)
  • Generous Tax free basic salary. Offered according to experience.
  • From 6 800 up to 12 375 Qatari Riyals per month. Which is a basic salary of up to +/- 239 320 INR / 178 500 PHP / 9920 TND.                    
  • Free fully furnished accommodation provided.
  • Transport allowance of 1250 QAR per month added to your basic salary.
  • Free "round trip" (to and from home country) flight tickets on joining, annual leave, and on repatriation. For those with family contract offered this will be also be applicable for your family (wife and up to 3 children up to 18 years old).
  • 40 days paid annual vacation days.
  • End of Service Award (at end of contract) which is one month's salary for each year worked.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Education:  (FULL TIME STUDIES ONLY)

B.Sc Degree in Health Care related field 

Note: Minimum 1 year in Operating Room Technician/ Nursing for those who got appointed in CSSD on or before 2008

 

Required Certification/Licensure:

CBSPD/ IAHCSMM 

 

Essential Experience:  (LICENSED EXPERIENCE ONLY)

5 years in CSSD out of which 2 years as a supervisor role

 

Language Skills:

Fluent in English - Oral and Written. 


Job Specification

Position Summary:
Responsible for Managing the overall sterile Processing operation of Central Sterile Services Department (Staff, equipment, resources and budget) in a safe and efficient manner to achieve positive patient outcome.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Demonstrate a high level of expertise in overall knowledge and concept of sterilization and decontamination.
  • Managing the day to day activities of the department to achieve service delivery goals while effectively managing resources.
  • Preparing Plan SLA and Monthly Operating Report for CSSD.
  • Assuming fiscal responsibilities, to include preparation and monitoring of operating and capital budget Developing & implementing quality standards in keeping up with current changes in practice standards with reference to such as, Maintaining CSSD records and statistics and status of task reports.
  • Monitoring the departments’ quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control programs.
  • Providing information, advice and guidance to the Preoperative Services on unit issues and operations as required.
  • Maintaining and developing training programs for Sterile Service Assistants / Technicians. Processes are in place to assess levels of competence to practice.
  • Monitoring Sterile Service Staff in achieving knowledge and competence.
  • Acting as a resource person to staff and clients.
  • Discuss changes with Theatre, Team Leaders and staff.
  • Implementing the process that brings about effective change.
  • Monitoring CSSD activities including resources usage, demand, supply to ensure efficient processing and supply of all sterile products with budgeted costs.
  • Proactive in identifying and minimizing risk affecting CSSD practice.
  • Displays commitment through actively supporting all health and safety initiatives.
  • Accountable for overseeing CSSD workflow processes to ensure a quality service.
  • Accountable for direct supervision, guidance, support and participation in work flows to assist with the processing of equipment and instruments.
  • Liaise with theatre staff and CSSD staff to ensure equipment is processed in a timely manner e.g. fast track, multiple surgeries.
  • Identify unsafe practice and respond appropriately to ensure safe outcome keeping Sterile Service Director informed.
  • Accountable for ensuring CSSD technician maintain a clean, tidy and safe work area at all times.
  • Implement and monitor infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain cleaning and sterilization equipment.
  • Monitor quality of cleaning, sterilization and packaging processes.
