Package
  • 3 Year contract (renewable)
  • Single and family contracts available.
  • Generous Tax free basic salary.  Offered according to experience.
  • From 4400 QAR up to 7935 QAR per month.  7935 QAR +/- 29 800 ZAR, 1910 EUR , 1700 GBP.  Salary paid in QAR.                  
  • Free fully furnished accommodation provided.
  • Transport allowance of 1250 QAR per month added to your basic salary.
  • Free "round trip" (to and from home country) flight tickets on joining, annual leave, and on repatriation. For those with family contract offered this will be also be applicable for your family (wife and up to 3 children up to 18 years old).
  • 40 days paid annual vacation days.
  • End of Service Award (at end of contract) which is one month's salary for each year worked.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Education: (FULL TIME STUDIES ONLY)

2 year Certificate/ Diploma / Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology.

 

Required certification/licensure:

Valid Primary License from the country of origin if applicable AND should be eligible for license in the State of Qatar within the Supreme Council of Health.

 

Minimum Experience: (LICENSED OR REGISTERED EXPERIENCE)

Minimum:  Completion of the required clinical practicum component of the academic course, which must include multi-modality rotational work experience in a recognized Hospital / Healthcare facility.

Preferred: 2 years post graduate licensed experience in Radiologic Technology.

 

Language Skills:

Fluent in English - Oral and Written.

Specification

Position Summary:

  • The Radiology Technician is responsible for performing general diagnostic x-ray procedures on fixed or mobile imaging systems.
  • The technician also is responsible for patient information registry and report preparation, equipment maintenance, and other duties as relevant.
  • The technician demonstrates independent judgment and significant professional knowledge in performing clinical tasks, and ensures the safety of patients, staff, and other members of the public in accordance with established dosage and operating guidelines.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of Employer’s mission, vision and values.
  • Demonstrate a high level of patient care.
  • Perform diagnostic general x-ray procedures using fixed or mobile systems in accordance with the standards and policies established by the Employer’s Radiology.
  • Ensure that correct patient, correct procedure, correct site protocols for the Employer’s  Radiology are adhered to.
  • Maintain privacy and confidentiality of all patient information.
  • Seek advice from the Radiology Supervisor or Radiologist on duty about any uncertainty or concerns with the medical imaging examination that has been requested.
  • Adjust medical imaging equipment parameters to the appropriate settings, and follow the Employer’s Radiology examination protocols to ensure high quality diagnostic images are produced for every requested examination.
  • Assume responsibility for patient safety to minimize unnecessary procedures, and maintain patient exposure to ionizing radiation or medical radioisotopes within accepted international levels.
  • Ensure that all patient data and administrative duties related to the technical component of the imaging examination are complete, accurate, and entered as required into the Radiology Information System (RIS), Picture Archive & Communication System (PACS), or manual paperwork (as may be relevant for the task).
  • Correctly apply radiation protection devices (collimation, lead apron, shielding etc), to avoid exposure to areas of the body not being studied.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of medical imaging equipment, imaging room, lead gowns, and other ancillary equipment before and after use.
  • Participate in a 24 hour / 7 day roster, and on-call as may be required.
  • Rotate across any of the Employer’s Radiology facilities as may be requested to meet operational requirements.
  • Comply with the Employer’s policies and procedures, particularly infection control, fire and safety, quality management.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
