Package

3 Year contract (renewable)

Single and family contracts available.

Generous Tax free basic salary. 

From 11400 QAR up to 21 000 QAR per month (depending on experience of candidate). Salary paid in QR. Depending on currency rates 21 000 QAR is +/- 370 000 INR/ 77 000 South-African Rand / 5800 USD/ 4900EUR/ 4300 GBP.

Free fully furnished accommodation provided.

Free "round trip" (to and from home country) flight tickets on joining, annual leave, and on repatriation. For those with family contract offered this will be also be applicable for your family (wife and up to 3 children up to 18 years old).

School allowance: 21 000 QAR (maximum) for up to 3 children (ages 5- 18) per child per academic year provided that they are studying in private schools in Doha.

40 days paid annual vacation days.

End of Service Award (at end of contract) which is one month's salary for each year worked.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Education: (FULL TIME STUDIES ONLY)

B.Sc Degree in Nursing AND Certificate course in Infection Control.

 

Required certification/licensure:

Valid Primary License from the country of origin if applicable AND should be eligible for license in the State of Qatar within the Supreme Council of Health.

 

Minimum Experience: (LICENSED OR REGISTERED EXPERIENCE)

3 years of licensed experience.

Preferred: 5 years licensed experience.

 

Language Skills:

Fluent in English - Oral and Written.

Specification

Position Summary:

Assist the senior IC Coordinator in coordinating the hospital wide Infection Control Programme, for the prevention and control of hospital acquired infections.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

Administrative Activities

  • Assist the Senior Infection Control Coordinator in the administrative and educational activities.
  • An active member of the Corporate Infection Committee.
  • Coordinate the day to day activities of the senior supervisor and liaise between the senior Infection Coordinator and Senior Supervisor.
  • Prepares Corporate level Infection Control policies and monitor for compliance and implementation.
  • Coordinates the surveillance activities of hospital and liaise between the Infection Control Physician and Infection Control Supervisors. 

 

Clinical Activities

  • Plan ,schedule of staff for ward coverage of each of the five hospitals including coverage of the support services ,ie Housekeeping, Laundry etc.
  • Facilitate outbreak investigation of infectious diseases including prompt reporting to contain the spread of infections.
  • Does other delegated activities of the Senior Infection Coordinator.

 

Educational Activities

  • Oversee the team members educational activities,ie: Orientations, updates and outreach education at all levels.
  • Plan for the Infection Control teams educational activities ,ie: weekly presentations.
