Package

3 Year contract (renewable)

  • Single and family contracts available.
  • Generous Tax free basic salary. 15 000 - 27 875 Qatari Riyals per month.  27 875 QR is +/- 5970 GBP / 6700 EUR / 7600 USD.  Salary paid in QR.
  • Free fully furnished accommodation provided.
  • Transport allowance of 1250 QAR per month added to your basic salary.
  • Free "round trip" (to and from home country) flight tickets on joining, annual leave, and on repatriation. For those with family contract offered this will be also be applicable for your family (wife and up to 3 children up to 18 years old).
  • School allowance: 21 000 QAR (maximum) for up to 3 children (ages 5- 18) per child per academic year provided that they are studying in private schools in Doha.
  • 40 days paid annual vacation days.
  • End of Service Award (at end of contract) which is one month's salary for each year worked.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Education: (FULL TIME STUDIES ONLY)

B.Sc in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Business Administration, Information Technology or Quality Management related field.

Preferred:  M.Sc in Business Administration or Health Administration.

 

Required certification/licensure:

Valid Primary License from the country of origin if applicable AND should be eligible for license in the State of Qatar within the Supreme Council of Health.

 

Minimum Experience: (LICENSED OR REGISTERED EXPERIENCE)

Ten years relevant experience including five years in a laboratory service

 

Language Skills:

Fluent in English - Oral and Written.


Job Specification

 

Position Summary:

Responsible for the planning and management of the administrative processes, technical operations and financial aspects of the DLMP.

 

Common Responsibilities:

  • Develop the section overall strategy, business plan and budget.
  • Develop the section policies and procedures and provide interpretation to staff.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of staff.
  • Supervise the preparation of work schedules (if applicable) and expedite workflow.
  • Interpret job specifications and key responsibilities to direct subordinates and assign duties.
  • Examine work for exactness, completeness and compliance to policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the review and standardization of procedure to improve efficiency of subordinates.
  • Perform or assist subordinate in performing duties.
  • Monitor the subordinates' performance and perform the annual appraisal.
  • Implement subordinates motivation plans to ensure achievement of work goals.
  • Detect and justify the section need for new headcount.
  • Keep time and personnel records.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems or assist subordinates in solving such problems.
  • Recommend or initiate personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges and disciplinary actions
  • Develop job descriptions.
  • Identify challenges impacting the section talent base and propose the succession planning.
  • Confer with peers to coordinate activities of individual section.
  • Prepare performance reports.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates knowledge and application of the Employer’s mission, vision and values.
  • In consultation and collaboration with Division Head and the Director of Operations; develops and monitor division processes including, but not limited to the annual budget and a divisional strategic plan, taking corrective action if required.
  • Ensure divisional strategic, operational objectives, accreditation and SLA derived requirements (as required) are being implemented to best practice benchmarks in a standardized manner across all divisional sites.
  • Reviews utilization of laboratory services and productivity of technical and non-technical staff, utilizes sound judgment to determine when intervention is required.
  • Prepare adhoc and month-end reports and analysis setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions as requested.
  • Conducts regular meetings, per Employer’s policy, with staff to ensure compliance with established practices, to implement new policies and to keep employees abreast of current changes and standards.
  • Attends meetings as requested, is on time, always prepared, and positively and willingly contributes to discussions.
  • Undertakes various personnel matters including, but not limited to training and staff development, hiring, performance appraisals, coaching, counseling, promotions, transfers, and vacation schedules within delegated authority.
  • Submits requested information by the requested due date.
  • Acts in the best interest of the Employer when responding to grievances or concerns relating to the division. Involves the Division Head and/or the Director of Operations when needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining divisional accreditation standards, safety standards, and quality standards as required by the Employer.
  • Has oversight over the purchases and supplies of the division.
  • Responsible for day to day operations of the division.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Division Head or the Director of Operations.
