Aim to hire overseas sports medicine physicians to join a world leading specialized orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital in Qatar. Physicians with work experience in European countries and countries such as South-Africa, Australia, NZ, Canada etc. invited to apply.

In the role of "Sports Club & Federation Doctor" your work will be primarily field based working with athletes. Principal responsibility to ensure the well-being or individual athletes, enabling each to reach full potential. Assume responsibility with the team structure for making medical decisions that affect the athlete's safe participation. Provide on-field services for the sports club teams and work in close relationship with the multidisciplinary teams to provide a comprehensive package of care for athletes. You will act as primary referrer to the hospital in case of sports medicine related cases.

Job Requirements: 

Essential Education:

• Master's Degree in Sports Medicine  or 
• Formal training in Sports Medicine such as Fellowship or Board recognised subspeciality in Sports Medicine  (formerly known as a certificate of added qualification in sports medicine) or 
• Speciality Board Certification in Sports Medicine.

Minimum Experience:

• 7-9+ years clinical experience in sports medicine of which 
• 3-5 years in similar position treating and coordinating the medical care of athletes.

Preferred Experience: 

• Previous experience as Club/Federation Doctor in an ELITE setting. 

Medical License to practice:

• Must have a valid unrestricted medical license to practice from your country of origin.
• Must be eligible for DHP licensing and registration as a Physician in the State of Qatar.

Language:

• Excellent English communication skills is a must.
• Arabic language an advantage.
