Minimum Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, or Associate Degree in Nursing (Full-time)

Experience:

3+ years in anesthetic nursing (sports setting preferred)

Licensing:

Valid home-country nursing license

Work Environment

This is a fast-paced, field-based role within a specialized sports and orthopedic hospital.

The position involves working across clinics, rehab areas, and occasionally on-site with athletes.

Flexibility is essential as duties may vary based on clinical needs.

Working Relationships

You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, physiotherapists, surgeons, anesthetists, and technicians, supporting the care and recovery of elite athletes and patients undergoing orthopedic procedures.

Role Overview

As a Registered Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality nursing care within a specialized sports medicine setting.

Your responsibilities include assisting in diagnostics, surgical preparation and recovery, perioperative care, and patient education.

You’ll support clinical procedures, monitor vital signs, manage medications, and help optimize patient outcomes in both acute and rehab environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist anesthetists with general, regional, and local anesthesia
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs and anesthesia depth during procedures
  • Manage airways and provide ventilatory support as needed
  • Support patient positioning and surgical site preparation
  • Deliver post-anesthesia care, monitor recovery, and manage pain
  • Collaborate with surgeons and OR staff for safe, efficient procedures
  • Maintain accurate documentation of anesthesia care and observations
  • Apply strong knowledge of anesthesia principles and pharmacology
  • Operate and monitor anesthesia equipment with proficiency
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical assessment, and communication skills
  • Perform well in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
  • Flexible availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
