Minimum Requirements

Education: 

Full-time bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy.

PhD or master’s degree in Sport Physiotherapy highly desired.

Professional certifications in the field a plus.

Licensing & Membership:

Must hold a valid home-country license as a physiotherapist.

Membership in a recognized physiotherapy or sports medicine association is preferred.

Experience: 

Minimum 9-11 years clinical experience (3-6 years should be in a similar position, preferably in similar industry.

Demonstrated leadership in high-performance or athletic settings is highly valued.

Demonstrated experience and proven leadership skills through clinical mentorship, clinical specialization, supervisory experience and/or project development.

Work Environment

This is a dynamic, field-based role primarily focused on supporting athletes within clubs, federations, and high-performance settings.

Flexibility is essential, as responsibilities may vary based on organizational and clinical needs.

Working Relationships

You will work collaboratively with athletes, coaches, physicians, technical staff, and other allied health professionals to deliver integrated, athlete-centered care.

Role Overview

As a Senior Physiotherapist, your role is vital in helping athletes recover, perform, and return to play safely and effectively.

You will assess, treat, and manage musculoskeletal conditions while promoting injury prevention and long-term performance health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently plan and deliver evidence-based physiotherapy to optimize patient recovery

  • Lead or participate in in-service training and team education

  • Contribute to service development through projects, presentations, and audits

  • Develop a specialization in sports physiotherapy and support mentorship

  • Supervise and support physiotherapy staff; act as clinical lead when required

  • Ensure safe practice in a mentally and physically demanding role

  • Participate in clinical research and promote new initiatives

  • Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to enhance care

  • Manage caseloads efficiently and support performance reviews

  • Apply expert assessment and treatment techniques

  • Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner

  • Support teaching of other healthcare staff to improve physiotherapy knowledge

  • Ensure patient safety through required training and competencies

  • Contribute to protocol reviews and clinical governance

  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors
