  • 3 Year contract (renewable)
  • Single and family contracts available.
  • Generous Tax free basic salary.  Offered according to experience.
  • From 4400 QAR up to 7935 QAR per month.  7935 QAR +/- 26 000 ZAR, 1800 EUR , 1600 GBP.  Salary paid in QAR.                  
  • Free fully furnished accommodation provided.
  • Transport allowance of 1250 QAR per month added to your basic salary.
  • Free "round trip" (to and from home country) flight tickets on joining, annual leave, and on repatriation. For those with family contract offered this will be also be applicable for your family (wife and up to 3 children up to 18 years old).

  • End of Service Award (at end of contract) which is one month's salary for each year worked.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Education: (FULL TIME STUDIES ONLY)

2 years Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.  

Required certification/licensure:

Valid Primary License from the country of origin if applicable AND should be eligible for license in the State of Qatar within the Supreme Council of Health. 


2 Years Licensed experience in an Accreditated Laboratory.  

Language Skills:

Fluent in English - Oral and Written.


Job Summary:

Performs routine and non-routine laboratory tests in an assigned specialization such as chemistry, hematology, microbiology, or blood bank; maintenance, calibration of analyzers and applying quality assurance measures; preparation of reagents; maintains clinical records in relation to activities carried out; and perform related work as required.

Common Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual, semi-automated and fully automated laboratory investigations accurately and efficiently.
  • Responsible for sample receipt, numbering and data entry on to the computer system.
  • Use own judgment to identify, action and report mislabeled or mislaid specimens, unsuitable sample or process failure.
  • Supports quality control processes.
  • Participate in the day to day management of stock control and usage.
  • Assist in the introduction of new techniques.
  • Follow oral and written instructions.
  • Clean and maintain equipment to achieve the optimum instrument performance and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Report any equipment faults to Senior Technologist/Supervisor.
  • Participate in processing samples for Research and Development and equipment testing.
  • Maintains records on such matters as tests performed, test results, methods, materials and procedures used, and inventory records.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Records test results / maintain integrity, accuracy of laboratory data.
  • Be able to record test results on the computer and manual systems in accordance with agreed standard operating procedures.
  • Complete incident forms where appropriate.
  • Support less experienced and other staff where required and demonstrates own work.
