  • 3 Year contract (renewable)
  • Single and family contracts available.
  • Generous Tax free basic salary. Offered according to experience. From 10300 QAR up to 18875 QAR per month. 18875 QAR = +/- 70 500 South-African Rand / 5180 USD/ 4500 EUR/ 4060 GBP.
  • Free fully furnished accommodation provided. 
  • Transport allowance of 1250 QAR per month added to your basic salary. 
  • Free "round trip" (to and from home country) flight tickets on joining, annual leave, and on repatriation. For those with family contract offered this will be also be applicable for your family (wife and up to 3 children up to 18 years old).
  • 40 days paid annual vacation days.
  • End of Service Award (at end of contract) which is one month's salary for each year worked.

Minimum Requirements

Essential Education:  (FULL TIME STUDIES ONLY)

Minimum Education:  B.Sc Degree in Dietetics and Nutrition.

Preferred Education:  B.Sc and M.Sc degrees in Dietetics and Nutrition. 

 

Required Certification/Licensure:

Valid Primary License from the country of origin if applicable AND should be eligible for license in the State of Qatar within the Supreme Council of Health

 

Essential Experience:  (LICENSED EXPERIENCE ONLY)

For Bachelors Degree and High Diploma Holders: 6 years licensed experience of which at least 3 years must be in a hospital setting as a Clinical Dietician and 3 years at a Supervisory level.

OR

For Master Degree Holders: 4 years licensed experience of which at least two years must be in a hospital setting as a Clinical Dietician and 2 years at a Supervisory level.

 

Language Skills:

Fluent in English - Oral and Written.

Position Summary:

Dietetics Service Supervisor is responsible for:

  • Supervising dietetics service area and staff, consult his superiors, make follow ups and re updates.
  • Coordinating dietetics service issues between dietetics department and catering department.
  • Coordinating dietetics service issues between dietetics clinical area and dietetics service area.
  • This post requires minimum of 10-12 subordinate staff.

 

Common Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all clinical nutritional aspects of patient care are exercised according to established policies and procedures.
  • Assist in education and training and provide guidance and technical assistance to Clinical Dietetic technicians, Formula Technicians and Clerks about clinical Nutritional Aspects of patient care according to policies and procedures.
  • Assist the Senior Dietetic Service Supervisor in developing plans and procedures for nutrition therapy practice.
  • Promote team work among staff.
  • Enhance relations with Nursing and medical staff as part of a multidisciplinary team work ethic
  • Perform HR administrative duties such as staff appraisals, interviews, and prepare duty rosters.
  • Update the Senior Dietetic Service Supervisor about workflow and other work related issues on a regular basis.
  • Conduct and participate in education sessions for dietetics and other health care professionals as required.
  • Resolve daily matters of department functions as per delegation of his/her supervisors.
  • Participate in hospital/ departmental/Program committees as required.
  • Deputises for the Senior Dietetic Service Supervisor when required.
  • Recommends and assist in dietetic service surveys.
  • Assists in calculating nutritive sufficiency of different diets.
  • Suggest new forms or practices that improve service.
  • Propose and assist in conducting clinical nutrition research as needed.
  • Performs other duties as requested.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Senior Dietetic Service Supervisor in establishing the protocols of the nutrition service.
  • Ensures implementation of established protocols of nutrition service.
  • Provide guidance and technical assistance to Clinical Dietetic Technicians, and senior clerks.
  • Coordinate and direct workflow among Clinical Dietetic Technicians and Senior Dietetic Clerks.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance and undertake the annual appraisal of Clinical Dietetic Technicians and Senior Clerks.
  • Reports any service inconveniences and suggests immediate remedies and replacements.
  • Arranges discharge needs of patients to ensure continuity of care plan.
  • Updates and prepares therapeutic food menus as per the directions of Senior Dietetic Service Supervisor.
  • Keep updated statistics for the facility regarding total number of therapeutic and enteral feed patients and dietary products as a base for the total tenders quantities.
  • Estimates the required tendered quantities of therapeutic food and enteral dietary products of the facility and submit to facility head.
  • Train new staff and interns students for dietetics service as per the direction of senior dietetic service supervisor.
