Package
  • 3 Year contract (renewable)
  • Single and family contracts available.
  • Generous Tax free basic salary.
  • 12 800 - 23 625 Qatari Riyals per month.  23 625 QR is +/- 5000 GBP / 5700 EUR / 6480 USD. Salary paid in QR.
  • Free fully furnished accommodation provided.
  • Transport allowance of 1250 QAR per month added to your basic salary.
  • Free "round trip" (to and from home country) flight tickets on joining, annual leave, and on repatriation. For those with family contract offered this will be also be applicable for your family (wife and up to 3 children up to 18 years old).
  • School allowance: 21 000 QAR (maximum) for up to 3 children (ages 5- 18) per child per academic year provided that they are studying in private schools in Doha.
  • 40 days paid annual vacation days.
  • End of Service Award (at end of contract) which is one month's salary for each year worked.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Education: (FULL TIME STUDIES ONLY)

B.Sc Degree

Preferred:  Certification in Infection Control, M.Sc.

 

Required certification/licensure:

Valid Primary License from the country of origin if applicable AND should be eligible for license in the State of Qatar within the Supreme Council of Health.

 

Minimum Experience: (LICENSED OR REGISTERED EXPERIENCE)

2 to 5 years of position-related licensed experience.

Preferred:  5 years of position-related licensed experience.

 

Language Skills:

Fluent in English - Oral and Written.

Specification

Position Summary:

  • With the vision, mission, and value of the Employer – Quality Management
  • Supervises leads and coordinates the activities and personnel of the Infection Control team.
  • An infection Prevention specialists functioning as a supervisor, consultant, researcher, role model and change agent.
  • Coordinates the function of Infection Control with other departments.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Demonstrates knowledge of infection control principles and practices.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrates leadership abilities and applies management skills.
  • Possesses knowledge and experience in the provision of preventive and public health programs in the investigation and prevention of communicable diseases.
  • Prepare surveillance data on regular basis.
  • Possesses knowledge and experience in the outbreak investigations.
  • Actively contributes in hospital environmental rounds.
  • Takes active responsibility in educational sessions.
  • Prepares and monitors section budget.
  • Reviews outlines and assesses work assignments.
  • Implements strategies for performance and program improvement as well as reviews and updates IC Policies & Procedures (ICPPs).
  • Prepares necessary documentations and do the necessary follow up on JCI related aspects 

 

Resource Management

  • Participates in Q.I. Team processes.
  • Applies epidemiological skills in the investigation of infection/infectious disease incidences.
  • Recommends intervention strategies for the prevention and control of infections/infectious diseases.

 

Patient/Customer Focus

  • Participates in the multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
  • Initiates patients/visitors teaching.
  • Consults and advises on patient condition/care.

 

Teamwork

  • Voluntarily works extra hours to facilitate department needs.
  • Works cooperatively within the department and with other facilities.
  • Coordinates monitors and evaluates activities of team members.
  • Collaborates with appropriate personnel to ensure implementation of ICPPs.
  • Maintains current references and resources on area of specialization.
  • As a team leader, provides consultation to all levels of the Employer’s Health facilities personnel.
  • Participates in hospital committees and multidisciplinary groups as clinical expertise necessitates.
