Cardiologist Senior Consultant
Sub Specialty: Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology

Employer Requirements:
Fellowship in Advanced Heart Failure & Heart Transplant Cardiology.
Education: One of the following: Arab Board, AMBS, Canada RCPS-C, UK CCT/CCST GMC Specialist Register, Germany Fachartz, Swedish Board, Australia/NZ Fellowship of Australian or NZ Royal Colleges.
Experience: should have held a Senior Consultant post for at least 1 year or a period of 6 years consultant experience.
International candidates who are not currently working in Qatar.
Experience after Specialist qualification, working in a government or semi-government institution/ hospital OR working in teaching/training/university hospital.
Total Monthly Salary: Offered amount discretion of employer.
Family Contract benefits: Free accommodation. Free flight ticket on joining, annual leave and repatriation. Allowances. Schooling assistance etc.

Package
OVERSEAS FAMILY CONTRACT: SENIOR CONSULTANT PHYSICIAN
Basic Salary: The offered amount is the discretion of the employer.
Market Allowance: % of basic salary.
Monthly Professional Allowance: % of basic salary.
Transport Allowance: 1250 QAR per month.
Mobile Allowance: 300 QAR per month.
Accommodation: Provided.
Annual Leave: 50 calendar days per year.
Schooling Assistance: 21 000 QAR (maximum) (up to 3 children) per child per academic year up to (ages from 5-18 years and provided that they are studying in private schools in Doha). Payment will be made upon submission of the appropriate receipts and will cover basic tuition fee only (provided that you obtained residence permit for them under your sponsorship).
Air Passage Entitlement: Business class air passage/flight ticket for self and family - up to 3 children up to 18 years old, on joining, annual leave & repatriation (provided that he/she obtained residence permit for them under his/her sponsorship).
Baggage Allowance: Unaccompanied baggage for yourself - up to 50 kg and family up to 200 kg on joining, and 100kg for self and 250 kg for family on repatriation, to be reimbursed at standard rate.
Conference entitlement: Yearly Conference (after completion of 18 months in service maximum of 9 days, with free business class round-trip ticket.

Minimum Requirements
Important Note: Physicians - To be eligible for licensing registration in Qatar it is required that some of your past clinical experience or current clinical experience must be from a government institution/hospital or training hospitals.
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: One of the following Specialty qualifications :
Arab Board.
American Board AMBS
Australia & New Zealand: Membership/Fellowship of the Royal College of Australia.
Canada: RCPS-C
Germany: Fachärtz
Sweden: Title of Specialist. Swedish Board.
UK: GMC Specialist registered with CCST/ CCT
EXPERIENCE:
Senior Consultant with western qualifications should have held a Senior Consultant post for at least 1 year or a period of 6 years consultant experience.
MEDICAL LICENSE:
You must have a valid primary license from the country of origin AND you should be eligible for license from the licensing authority in the State of Qatar to practice as a Senior Consultant Physician.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Fluent in English.

Ability to relate well to others and use interpersonal skills to achieve desired objectives, recognizing the need to represent both the clinical work and the team.
In addition to providing high quality patient care (diagnose, treat, manage and admit patients under his name) as delineated by his clinical privileges, the Senior Consultant works closely with department chair and/or section head on management issues (such as service development, funding, budgets, and staffing), on the teaching and training of junior doctors, and on academic and research priorities.
In essence, the Senior Consultant is required to have professional clinical competence, leadership and management skills.
Research is a key and integral component to the Corporations Strategic aim to become an Academic Health System. The post holder must be able to contribute on delivering on delivering an integrated strategic vision and planning for Clinical, Research, Education and training which improves the quality of patient care.
