Essential Job Requirements:

International Physician not currently working in Qatar.

Must be eligible for DHP licensing and registration as a Specialist Physician in the State of Qatar.

It is mandatory to have the required amount of experience working at one of the following institution post-specialty degree:

a. Governmental and semi-governmental institutions / hospitals.

b. Hospitals that provide post graduate training programs (government or private)

Package

Contract Period: Open ended.

Basic Salary: The offered amount is the discretion of the employer.

Market Allowance: % of basic salary.

Monthly Professional Allowance: % of basic salary.

Transport Allowance: 1250 QAR per month.

Mobile Allowance: 300 QAR per month.

Accommodation: Provided.

Annual Leave: 50 calendar days per year.

Schooling Assistance: 21 000 QAR (maximum) (up to 3 children) per child per academic year up to (ages from 5-18 years and provided that they are studying in private schools in Doha). Payment will be made upon submission of the appropriate receipts and will cover basic tuition fee only (provided that you obtained residence permit for them under your sponsorship).

Air Passage Entitlement: Business class air passage/flight ticket for self and family - up to 3 children up to 18 years old, on joining, annual leave & repatriation (provided that he/she obtained residence permit for them under his/her sponsorship).

Baggage Allowance: Unaccompanied baggage for yourself - up to 50 kg and family up to 200 kg on joining, and 100kg for self and 250 kg for family on repatriation, to be reimbursed at standard rate.

Conference entitlement: Yearly Conference (after completion of 18 months in service maximum of 9 days, with free business class round-trip ticket.

Minimum Requirements

Must have a valid medical license to practice from your country of origin.

Must be eligible for DHP licensing and registration as a Specialist Physician in the State of Qatar.

Specific DHP required amount of experience post-specialty degree (this amount of experience determined by DHP according to the Specialist qualification you have).

It is mandatory to have the required amount of experience working at one of the following institution post-specialty degree:

a. Governmental and semi-governmental institutions / hospitals.

b. Hospitals that provide post graduate training programs (government or private)

Not mandatory for the required years of experience to be the most recent experience provided that there is no break of practice.

Specification

The Consultant is a senior doctor who practices in a specific specialty and has oversight responsibility for his team of junior doctors and manages other team members. The Consultant should be able to take a comprehensive view of the care pathway. The Consultant accepts ultimate responsibility for the care of all patients admitted under his name. The Consultant is capable of independently providing high quality patient care (diagnose, treat, manage and admit patients under his name) as delineated by his clinical privileges. Ability to relate well to others and use interpersonal skills to achieve desired objectives, recognizing the need to represent both the clinical work and the team. The Consultant actively contributes to the teaching and training of students and junior doctors, and to the development of his specialty through leadership, academe and research. Research is a key and integral component to the Corporations Strategic aim to become an Academic Health System. The post holder must be able to contribute on delivering an integrated strategic vision and planning for Clinical, Research, Education and training which improves the quality of patient care.
