Seeking to hire a Emergency Medicine Senior Consultant currently serving as a Clinical Director - Chief Medical Officer.

Highly prefer to hire a physician with UK experience! 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 13 years clinical experience as Emergency Medicine Physician.
  • Of which 5 years in leadership role within a emergency department or similar healthcare setting.
  • 1 of the following: Arab Board or American Board or Canada RCPS-C or UK GMC CCT/CCST or Germany Fachartz or Swedish Board or Australia/NZ FRCP.
  • Valid Medical License to practice in home country.
  • Eligible to license as Senior Consultant Physician in the State of Qatar.

Work scope of this role: 25% Clinical work and 75% Administrative, Management, and Leadership responsibilities.

The largest focus is on the leadership component where strong management capabilities are needed to ensure the effective operation of the Emergency Department. As Chair this role include leadership and management in the areas implementing clinical policies, budgeting, nursing, allied health and physician leadership and hospital administration. Upon successful placement you will be joining a diverse and exciting organization where over 90 different nationalities work together. JCI accredited. Package

 

Highly Competitive Open Ended Contract with Family Benefits!

Basic Salary: The offered amount is the discretion of the employer. 

Market Allowance: % of basic salary.

Monthly Professional Allowance: % of basic salary.

Transport Allowance: 1250 QAR per month.

Mobile Allowance: 300 QAR per month. 

Accommodation: Free. Provided.

Annual Leave: 50 calendar days per year.

Schooling Assistance: 21 000 QAR (maximum) (up to 3 children) per child per academic year up to (ages from 5-18 years and provided that they are studying in private schools in Doha). Payment will be made upon submission of the appropriate receipts and will cover basic tuition fee only (provided that you obtained residence permit for them under your sponsorship).

Air Passage Entitlement: Business class air passage/flight ticket for self and family - up to 3 children up to 18 years old, on joining, annual leave & repatriation (provided that he/she obtained residence permit for them under his/her sponsorship).

Baggage Allowance: Unaccompanied baggage for yourself - up to 50 kg and family up to 200 kg on joining, and 100kg for self and 250 kg for family on  repatriation, to be reimbursed at standard rate. 

Conference entitlement: Yearly Conference (after completion of 18 months in service maximum of 9 days, with free business class round-trip ticket.

The contract package determined by the employer.

Key Responsibilities of the Position: 
 
 
Clinical Work (25%)
 
a)      Patient Care: Provide clinical care and supervision as needed.
 
b)      Clinical Rounds: Conduct rounds to oversee patient treatment and care.
 
c)       Clinical Consultation: Offer expert consultation on complex cases.
 
d)      Clinical Oversight: Provide clinical oversight and support to various departments.
 
 
Administrative/Management/Leadership (75%):
 
a)       Department Oversight: Manage clinical services, ensuring optimal patient care and resource utilization.
 
b)      Operational Management: Collaborate with nursing leadership and hospital administration to ensure high-quality emergency care.
 
c)       Staff Supervision: Oversee medical staff and ensure adherence to clinical protocols
 
d)      Clinical Policy Development: Develop and implement clinical policies and guidelines to ensure the highest standard of care.
 
e)      Staff Supervision: Oversee medical staff and ensure adherence to clinical protocols.
 
f)        Policy Development: Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and protocols.
 
g)       Operational Oversight: Oversee clinical operations and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
 
h)      Committee Participation: Engage in hospital committees to enhance services and contribute to development plans.
 
i)        Quality Assurance: Lead quality assurance initiatives and ensure compliance with JCI standards.
 
j)        Performance Analysis: Review and analyze hospital data to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
 
k)       Education and Research: Plan and participate in medical education and research activities.
 
l)        Regulatory Compliance: Monitor regulatory issues and ensure ongoing compliance.
 
m)    Leadership: Lead the necessary culture change towards a team-based approach in healthcare.
 
n)      JCI Compliance: Ensure the department meets JCI accreditation standards.
 
o)      Leadership: Drive departmental goals and strategic initiatives.
 
p)      JCI Accreditation: Ensure the hospital meets and maintains JCI accreditation standards.
