Package

3 Year contract (renewable)

A Competitive Recruitment Package offered to Overseas Candidates - offered according to experience. 

 

  • Highly attractive and competitive basic monthly salary. 
  • Free fully furnished accommodation provided.
  • Transport allowance of 1250 QAR per month added to your basic salary.
  • Free "round trip" (to and from home country) flight tickets on joining, annual leave, and on repatriation. For those with family contract offered this will be also be applicable for your family (wife and up to 3 children up to 18 years old).
  • School allowance: 21 000 QAR (maximum) for up to 3 children (ages 5- 18) per child per academic year provided that they are studying in private schools in Doha.
  • 40 days paid annual vacation days.
  • End of Service Award (at end of contract) which is one month's salary for each year worked.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Education: (FULL TIME STUDIES ONLY)

Master’s Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D.

 

Required certification/licensure:

Valid Primary License from the country of origin if applicable AND should be eligible for license in the State of Qatar within the Supreme Council of Health.

 

Minimum Experience: (LICENSED OR REGISTERED EXPERIENCE)

Minimum 10 years full time professional licensed Pharmacy experience including 3 years in Managerial roles.

 

Language Skills:

Fluent in English - Oral and Written.

Specification

Position Summary:

  • The position of Pharmaceutical Advisor is a new corporate developmental post, and as such holds transitional responsibilities, which will support the mission, vision and values of the Employer and the Employer’s Pharmacies.
  • It is envisaged that once the main responsibilities of the post holder have been embedded into the individual pharmacy departments, additional duties and responsibilities will be identified and agreed, to reflect the future requirements of the Employer.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

Educational and professional:

  • Determine for pharmacy technicians, the nature of the knowledge and skills required to satisfy a professional body that they are appropriately qualified.
  • Establish competency frameworks and other methods, to measure their competencies.
  • Determine the nature of the education, training and experience required for prospective pharmacy mentors.
  • Establish a mentoring system for pharmacists, with particular reference to Qatari nationals. Advise on the education and training to address "fitness to practice" matters.
  • Advise on the provision of providers for pharmacy education, training, experience or continual professional development.
  • Promote high standards of education and training, and the acquisition of experience within a clinical setting for pharmacy technicians.
  • Encourage and promote research and publication of abstracts and papers.

 

Organizational:

  • Participate as a member of the Corporate Pharmacy Advisory Council.
  • Advise, as requested, on new structures and roles within the Pharmacy department.
  • Work with Pharmacy Department heads to ensure training manuals in all departments are of a consistent high standard.
  • Support Regulation and Accreditation within the Pharmacy Department to improve JCI Accreditation compliance.
  • In conjunction with the Director of Pharmacy, develop long term plans for service improvement and modernization.
  • In conjunction with the Director of Pharmacy, define departmental objectives, which will deliver, and contribute to the Employer’s goal of becoming an internationally recognized center for excellence in healthcare.
  • Undertake any other duties as requested and which are appropriate to the position.
