Field Service Engineer Manager (FSE) - Diagnostic Imaging / X-RAY equipment
Seeking to recruit a Field Service Engineer Manager (FSE) for a leading medical and Radiology X-Ray Equipment supplier in Windhoek, Namibia. Ideally, we’d like to have the new hire onboard as soon as possible.
We are seeking to recruit a Manager, Service Engineer that has general technology knowledge within the medical field as well as x-ray imaging experience. The employer do provide product training. Periodic overnight travel is expected.
The ideal candidate will have 5 plus years working in the diagnostic imaging field, experience working on X-Ray equipment and/or Biomed Training, experience in servicing Diagnostic Imaging equipment.
In this role you will be responsible for meeting the daily service maintenance and repair needs of the customers’ equipment and manage a group of Junior Field Service Engineers ensuring that work is allocated fairly, jobs are completed on time, customers are satisfied and all other related administration tasks necessary to the department.
The salary is between R40 000 - R60 000 (South-African Rand) Salary will be offered according to qualifications and experience. Housing allowance, medical cover, pension, relocation assistance offered by employer.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
The following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to successfully perform this role. However, any equivalent combination of experience, education and training, which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities, would be acceptable; subject to any legal and/or regulatory requirements.
â— Five years’ work experience in the medical imaging industry is preferred.
â— Four years of experience working on x-ray equipment and/or Biomed Training is preferred.
â— Associates Degree with four or more years’ experience in servicing Diagnostic Imaging equipment is preferred.
â— High School Diploma with 10 or more years’ experience servicing Diagnostic Imaging equipment is preferred.
â— Valid driver’s license and good driving record is required.
â— Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical and/or electronic equipment.
â— Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns.
â— Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-based service process.
â— Proven record of being reliable and accountable for all aspects of their job.
â— Proficient level of computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
â— Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
â— The Field Service Engineer (FSE) will be responsible for meeting the daily service maintenance and repair needs of the customers’ equipment.
â— Manage a group of Junior Field Service Engineers ensuring that work is allocated fairly, jobs are completed on time, customers are satisfied and all other related administration tasks necessary to the department
â— Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers as well as performing necessary administrative duties as required and other duties as assigned.
â— Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner.
â— Basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and repair on designated equipment.
â— Maintaining daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up.
â— Maintaining tools and test equipment and ensuring they are properly calibrated.
â— Meet the Health and Human Services, Environmental Health and Safety and/or all other applicable regulatory requirements.
â— Utilize the escalation process to resolve customer service delivery issues.
â— Identify and participate in the sales opportunities such as new contracts, contract renewals and system sales.
â— Management of the local team of technicians to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within the assigned area.
â— Adhere to current regulatory requirements in compliance with Namibian legislation.
