Employer Requirement:

Bachelor Degree in Dietetics and Nutrition.

Minimum 5 years licensed experience in Nutrition and Dietetics out of which 3 in a hospital setting as a Clinical Dietician.

Total Monthly Salary

Estimated QAR 20 100 which is +/-ZAR 100 100 (South-African Rand), GBP 4350,  JOD 3900, LBP 500 000 000, 1 500 000 PKR.

Package

OVERSEAS CONTRACT: SENIOR CLINICAL DIETITIAN -GRADE 112

Basic Salary: +/- 18 850 QAR per month. This is only an estimated amount. The offered amount is the discretion of the employer. 

Transport Allowance: 1250 QAR per month. 

Accommodation: Provided.

Annual Leave: 40 calendar days.

Schooling Assistance: 21 000 QAR (maximum) (up to 3 children) per child per academic year up to (ages from 5-18 years and provided that they are studying in private schools in Doha). Payment will be made upon submission of the appropriate receipts and will cover basic tuition fee only (provided that you obtained residence permit for them under your sponsorship).

Air Passage Entitlement: Economy class air passage/flight ticket for self and family - up to 3 children up to 18 years old, on joining, annual leave & repatriation (provided that he/she obtained residence permit for them under his/her sponsorship).

Baggage Allowance: Unaccompanied baggage for yourself - up to 50 kg and family up to 200 kg on joining, and 100kg for self and 250 kg for family on  repatriation, to be reimbursed at standard rate.

Minimum Requirements

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:

Bachelor Degree in Dietetics and Nutrition.

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM LICENSED EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 5 years in Nutrition and Dietetics out of which 3 years in a hospital setting as Clinical Dietician.

MEDICAL LICENSE:

You must have a valid primary license from the country of origin AND you should be eligible for license from the licensing authority in the State of Qatar to practice as a healthcare profession.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Fluent in English. 

Specification

POSITION SUMMARY:

The purpose of this role is to provide a specialized nutritional and dietetic service to patients within the hospital. Specialties include but are not limited to Diabetes, Respiratory Diseases, Bariatric Surgery, and Renal. Assist the Clinical Dietician Supervisor and the Facility Head Dietitian in planning and delivering all dietary requirements for patients in the hospital.
 
 
Common Responsibilities
 
Ensures interdisciplinary input to attain full potential teamwork
Assist in conducting clinical nutrition research as required
Provides role modelling and mentoring with respect to clinical practice, continuing education, and career advancement/development
Contributes to the development of dietetic practice to enhance the quality of service delivered to patients
Participates in educational activities for families and caregivers
Participate in community nutritional activities
Give consultation, guidance and education to dietitians, dietetic interns, visiting dieticians and other health care professionals as required
Participate in hospital /departmental/Program committees
Maintain professional growth and development through different in – service training activities to keep pace with technological developments and new trends in nutrition therapy
Assist in preparing dietary education material
Cover the Dietician weekend duty or On-Call rota as required
 
Specific Responsibilities
 
Provide specialized nutritional care for a group of patients requiring special dietary intervention
Monitors the implementation of nutrition plans and assesses patient progress to adjust therapy plans and attain optimum nutrition.
Coordinates, plans and conducts programs to educate patients about nutrition issues, diet and food selections.
Documents, records and processes information to assess therapy outcomes
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and calculate the nutrient requirements of patients on therapeutic/enteral feedings as required
Directs Clinical Dietitians to assess patients’ discharge needs to ensure continuity of the care plan
Evaluates current practice using evidence-based outcome indicators where possible to ensure the therapeutic, patient and family needs are being met
Provides expert consultation to the health care team regarding the nutritional needs of the specific patient population
Provides consultation to the regional nutrition centres, satellite centres, national and international centres.
Plan the development programme for dietetic interns, those in advance practice roles and junior dietician staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
