Participating in RT department quality project /research paper publications
(outcome based).
Fulltime studies:
Bachelor Degree in Respiratory Therapy (not Diploma)
Valid license from country of origin as Respiratory Therapist (not Technician)

Overview of the role:
Reports to: Respiratory Therapist Specialist and Chief of Respiratory Therapist.
Subordinates: Registered Respiratory Therapist and Respiratory Therapist.
Job Summary: The purpose of this role is to monitor the Respiratory Therapy staff compliance in assigned facility to attain excellence in cardio-respiratory practice through development and implementation of educational programs. Ensures common goals regarding cardio-respiratory practice, education and research are achieved and acts as clinical mentor, role model and coach to the Respiratory Therapy staff

Overseas Contract Grade 111. Respiratory Therapist Supervisor
Total Salary (basic & transport allowance) +/- 16 400 QAR. Currency Conversion
Basic Salary: +/- 15 150 QAR per month. This is an estimated amount. The offered amount is the discretion of the employer.
Transport Allowance: 1250 QAR per month.
Accommodation: Provided.
Annual Leave: 40 calendar days.
Air Passage Entitlement: Economy class air passage/flight ticket for self and family - up to 3 children up to 18 years old, on joining, annual leave & repatriation (provided that he/she obtained residence permit for them under his/her sponsorship).
Baggage Allowance: Unaccompanied baggage for yourself - up to 50 kg and family up to 200 kg on joining, and 100kg for self and 250 kg for family on repatriation, to be reimbursed at standard rate.

Specification
- Assess daily staffing needs and ensures optimum resource utilization and allocation to meet the patient care requirements within assigned Facility.
- In conjunction with Chief Respiratory Therapist, evaluate the need for capital and stock items in assigned Facility.
- Participates and or leads in rounds with health care team and exchange information on patient care management between Physician and Respiratory Therapist.
- Developing and Updating Policies and protocols meeting the hospital group and International standards
- Prepares statistics of Respiratory Therapy procedures performed in assigned Division
- Advocates influencing health care practice, policy and outcomes in collaboration with the Chief Respiratory Therapist the development of activities and performance to support strategic goals and objectives.
- Implementation of appropriate action plan and intervention based on observed abnormalities of appropriate reporting or referral, or respiratory care protocols, or changes in treatment regimen.
- The transcription and implementation of the written and verbal orders of a physician pertaining to the practice of respiratory care.
- Provides support to staff in planning and prioritization patient care delivery
- Leads in the development of the inter-professional patient care plan.
- Evaluates discharge planning activities as they relate to cardio-respiratory needs.
- Assesses appropriateness of clinical and/or technical support and treatment as related to respiratory therapy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
