Essential Job Requirements:

International candidate not currently working in Qatar.

Education:

PhD in a Clinical Lab Science field or related area

AND

Board Certification in sub specialty of lab medicine such as:

MRCPath & FRCPath
American Board of Medical Microbiology
American Board of Lab Immunology.
American Board of Clinical Chemistry.
American Board of Medical Genetics
or equivalent

Experience:

10 + Years post Board certification of which 6+ working in an accredited clinical lab such as:

CAP - College of American Pathologists
JCI - Joint Commission International
ISO - International Organization for Standardization

Diagnostic genomic experience with bioinformatician skills to analyze and interpret large genomic database.

Package

Overseas open ended contract with family sponsorship.

Basic Salary: The offered amount is the discretion of the employer.

Market Allowance: % of basic salary.

Monthly Professional Allowance: % of basic salary.

Transport Allowance: 1250 QAR per month.

Mobile Allowance: 300 QAR per month.

Accommodation: Provided.

Annual Leave: 50 calendar days per year.

Schooling Assistance: 21 000 QAR (maximum) (up to 3 children) per child per academic year up to (ages from 5-18 years and provided that they are studying in private schools in Doha). Payment will be made upon submission of the appropriate receipts and will cover basic tuition fee only (provided that you obtained residence permit for them under your sponsorship).

Air Passage Entitlement: Business class air passage/flight ticket for self and family - up to 3 children up to 18 years old, on joining, annual leave & repatriation (provided that he/she obtained residence permit for them under his/her sponsorship).

Baggage Allowance: Unaccompanied baggage for yourself - up to 50 kg and family up to 200 kg on joining, and 100kg for self and 250 kg for family on repatriation, to be reimbursed at standard rate.

Conference entitlement: Yearly Conference (after completion of 18 months in service maximum of 9 days, with free business class round-trip ticket.

The salary package determined by the employer and not GMR.

Specification

The purpose of this role is to provide operational and expert support in a clinical specialty to the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology.

Key Responsibilities:

Hold responsibility for the both the clinical and technical operation of an assigned section.

Develops and performs state-of-the-art diagnostic methods related to the needs of the Dept.

Trains and assists personnel in the proper implementation and operation of procedures.

Verifies and approves quality control and external proficiency reports.

Participates in instruction and training of staff, residents, fellows, and students in the section.

Undertakes clinical research as principle investigator or co-investigator in collaboration with others according to the needs of the department.

Promotes professional and organizational development of the section in consultation with the department Chair.

Ensures the section adheres to corporate and departmental policies and procedures.

Maintains an ongoing program for continuing education through lectures, presentations, and case histories.

Reviews, interprets, and releases patient results of diagnostic tests.

Provides consultation and interpretation laboratory test results to HMC medical staff

Performs other duties as assigned
