Package

3 Year contract (renewable)

Generous Tax free basic salary. Offered according to experience.

From 6 800 up to 12 375 Qatari Riyals per month. Which is a basic salary of up to +/- 214 000 INR / 170 000 PHP/8200 TND.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

Free fully furnished accommodation provided.

Transport allowance of 1250 QAR per month added to your basic salary.

Free "round trip" (to and from home country) flight tickets on joining, annual leave, and on repatriation. For those with family contract offered this will be also be applicable for your family (wife and up to 3 children up to 18 years old).

40 days paid annual vacation days.

End of Service Award (at end of contract) which is one month's salary for each year worked.

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Essential Education:  FULL TIME STUDIES ONLY

Bachelors Degree in Health Practitioner.

Preferred Education:  MD Degree (Medical Doctor) and/or MPH (Master of Public Health)

 

Required Certification/Licensure:

N/A

 

Essential Experience:

2-3 years relevant experience in health care or community care. 

Preferred Experience:  Clinical internship plus one year research or clinical or field (community care) experience.

Job Specification

Position Summary:

The main objectives of the program are to (1) educate and liaise with the community about trauma & injury to improve injury control measures within the country and to (2) increase the profile of the Employers Trauma Center by increasing public awareness and by generating positive media coverage through community injury prevention programs and outreach activities.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Injury Prevention Director and the Assistant Injury Prevention Director, in his/her absence, coordinate, implement and maintain injury prevention programs and injury prevention activities for the Trauma Program at HGH based on Trauma Registry statistical data and community needs.
  • Collaborate with other divisions to offer community outreach injury prevention related activities.
  • Assist in the development of standards in collaboration with relevant government agencies, non-government agencies and community-based entities.
  • Collate, file and report on injury prevention activities in the community.
  • Maintain accurate records of all injury prevention activities of the Trauma Service.
  • Remain knowledgeable on and serve as an advocate and role model for injury prevention in the country.
  • Participate and support in training of staff and community leaders to lead educational injury prevention programs within the hospital and the community.
  • Collaborate with public affairs and marketing on injury prevention materials to be distributed within the community.
  • Implement and maintain evaluation tools and track program data to assess injury and injury prevention progress in the community.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary injury prevention research as appropriate.
  • Conduct and implement the Alcohol Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral for Treatment Program.
  • Participate in and explore applications for grant-funded opportunities related to injury prevention program support, as appropriate.
  • Remain current on injury control issues and methodologies by participating in programs offered by globally recognized injury prevention organizations, such as the Injury Prevention Research Center of the Center of Disease Control, the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma, the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma, and the World Health Organization.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Injury Prevention Director, Medical Director, Trauma Service and Head of Trauma Surgery Section.
